We are a substance free studio.  We encourage all of our clients to enjoy their experience without the influence of alcohol! 

Due to a variety of food allergies and negative food interactions with the pottery, we do not allow food or drinks in the studio. Thank  you for your anticipated understanding!

I would like to remind clients that although I own the building, I have tenants in 3 units which are clearly marked.  Please do not use their steps as a sitting area. This would be their personal space. We wish to co exist as a commercial unit with our 3 residential units and dwell in harmony.  Thanks for understanding.  The studio unit is clearly marked for your ease in locating us.

Be prepared to paint your own pottery! Just like going to the movies, when you enter the theater you choose your movie, buy your ticket and enjoy the show!  If you enter Weirdgirl you purchase a piece of pottery, paint, and enjoy the experience. If you really want to watch and not paint there is a $12 sitting fee per person.  Pottery TO GO is available to paint at home as well.

Parties and groups can be booked during regular hours when I am open to the public. Call ahead for large groups of 10 or more please. 

​Open before and after hours daily for private rental of the studio.  Rent the studio after hours or before open hours for your group. $100 for 1.5hrs of private studio time (plus the price of pottery per person)
*For groups of disabled or challenged children or adults there is no fee for me to open one hour early or one hour after hours privately for your group of 8 or more. Reach out via email to inquire, always happy to accommodate your needs.  No fee for aides to accompany those with special needs.  Hope this helps! Book a Birthday Party!

• Drop in to paint!  First come, first served.
• No appointments. You can email ahead if youhave a larger group to accommodate.  
• Pick your piece of pottery, pick your colors, paint and enjoy! 
• We provide a Pottery Painting experience. Please be sure that each person is prepared to paint their own piece of pottery.  If you wish to watch, order your Pottery TO GO online and paint at home! Just like going to a movie theater with friends or family, you purchase your own ticket and watch the movie. Here at the studio each person purchases and paints their own piece of pottery!  The goal is for everyone who visits to be immersed in the experience and create their own art!
• Each piece is priced individually and includes your studio  time, glaze, bubble wrap, bag and firing costs.
• Weather permitting I have seating outside, 2 tables that seat 2-4 painters per table.
•  We will continue the practice asking each client to use our hand sanitizer upon entering.  We will continue to run a UV air purifier during open studio hours and a UV studio sanitizer each night for all surfaces in the studio.  Your safety is our priority. 
• Pottery is typically ready for pick up within 5-7 days of painting.  Pick up dates vary with when you come in!  All finished work must be picked up within 2 weeks of your pick up date.​

Offering In Studio drop in paint your own pottery! Plan to spend about 1 hour of studio time to designs and  paint your own pottery. ( A little longer for larger more detailed items). Everyone in the studio must be painting their own piece of pottery. Want to watch your kids paint but don't wish to paint yourself? Take the Pottery and glazes to go! Who can paint pottery?

• Painting on pottery is a fun DIY project activity for all ages and stages of life! 
• Paint on pottery makes the perfect date or anniversary activity.
• Painting on pottery is a unique, screen free experience for kids and families. 
• We have 2 high chairs available for babies and toddler painters.  If they can hold a brush,  or finger paint, they can paint pottery! 
• Please note- younger children have a shorter attention span.  Younger children can finish in as little as 15-30 minutes and teens/adults can take much longer depending upon the amount of detail they apply to their piece.  You know your child best! Plan your visit around your fastest painters. 

Turn Around Times & Pick Up: When will I get my project back?

• Projects are ready for pickup typically within 5-7 days of when you come in to paint.  Pick up dates vary with our workload at that time.  Please plan accordingly! We work so hard to get work fired and back to you in the shortest time windows possible.  We appreciate your anticipated understanding.
• All finished pottery must be picked up within 2 weeks of the provided pick up date.  When you finish painting and check out, we will give you a yellow receipt that you bring with you  to pick up your work.   We match your receipt to the matching copy on your pottery to ensure that each painter gets their own work back.  
• All work is bubble wrapped and bagged- no need to bring your own box or bag :)

Pricing information: 

• The price on the bottom of each piece is all inclusive, ranging from $12-$95
  • $12 -$16 Christmas/seasonal ornaments
  • Tiles $20 and various hanging plaques up to $26-$32
  • small animal figurines start at $23
  • mugs start at $23
  • Plates start at $25 and hundreds of other items in between all the way up to-$95 platters.
• You can view our entire selection of paint your own pottery bisque by looking through the "pottery to go" pages.
• The price on the bottom of each piece of pottery includes glaze, firing, bubble wrap, bag and 1 hour of studio time. (7% sales tax will be added at checkout). 
• We do  charge a $12 sitting fee for non-painting adults.  Just like attending a movie or going to dinner, we ask for each human occupying a seat to participate in the activity.  We have limited seating and appreciate your anticipated understanding.  As always, you can always place an order 'to go' and paint from home with as many spectators as you please!  We have $12 ornaments for parents and grandparents who wish to select a low cost, low investment item to work on while the kiddos paint! 

The Glazes (Paint):

• *Our glaze (paint) is water-washable and non-staining as well as non-toxic and lead-free, so little kids can paint with their hands (and feet too!).
• We do not offer smocks or aprons as the glaze is entirely washable.  If you get paint on your clothing, it will dry to a powder and can be brushed off.  Remaining paint residue will wash out in the washer! 
• When painting pottery remember the glaze is similar to a water color.  Dark colors will show up best over light colors.  Light colors do not work well over dark colors. Think about markers on construction paper - yellow marker will not look pronounced on a piece of red construction paper.  Red marker will show up much better on top of yellow construction paper. 
• You do not need to paint your entire piece with color, whatever you don't paint will be white and shiny as the entire piece will be dipped in overglaze, a clear coat that seals in all of your hard work! 
• When applying glaze (paint) 2 coats will be the maximum application.  Do not over saturate or layer more than 2 coats, this can impair the glaze from fusing to the bisque ware.  Most of all, just have fun, get creative and enjoy an hour relaxing at our cozy studio (or painting at home!)
• We have a variety of sponges and stamps to choose from and you are welcome to come in with your own if you wish.

Finished Work Use and Care After Firing:

• *All finished and fired ceramic-ware is food safe, and dishwasher safe like anything you would buy in the store! You pay only for the price of the pottery, no studio sitting or glaze fee, just sales tax.  Plan on spending about an hour to complete your creation!
• *You can also paint your child's hand or foot and press it on any piece of pottery creating a stamp! Our pottery is called "earthenware" because it comes from the earth - how GREEN is that?
• ** PYOP (paint your own pottery)  is not a spectator sport!  If you visit our studio with your friends and family plan on everyone painting their own piece of pottery! If you would rather watch your children paint but don't wish to participate in painting you can order your Pottery TO GO and paint at your home!

NEED US TO SHIP your pottery to you?

• If you wish us to ship you may fill out a shipping form with credit card and shipping info and we will get your pottery to you!
• Cost varies with the size and quantity of pieces being shipped. Rough estimates can be provided, but final cost is determined at time of shipping.
• We do charge a $10-$25 handling fee for group pottery shipping and a $5 runner fee.

FYI: FINISHED POTTERY RECOMMENDATION
*Manufacturer recommends hand washing of pottery rather than dishwashing.  This is due to the possible banging around not the detergent or heat.  However, as studio owners we do put all of our pottery in our dishwashers at home without incident. 
*Pottery is not microwave safe as it will become super heated.  

HAND & FOOT PRINTS (or paw prints!) on POTTERY!
Looking to create a very unique gift with your children for mom, dad, grandparents, Godparents, teachers and more?  Stop by and make some hand print, foot print or fingerprint art!  In our Paint your Own Pottery studio all you do is choose your bisque piece (pottery piece) pick your glaze colors (looks like paint) and apply with a brush to a hand, foot or finger and press onto the ceramic like a stamp! Hands or Feet can be worked into a design such as fish, flowers, penguins, ladybugs and more! Thumbprints or finger prints can be used to create animals, butterflies, flowers, caterpillars, or whatever your imagination can dream up!  We do not assist with the prints as this is a paint your own pottery activity and   its so easy!  Check out our images below, on Pinterest, and Facebook page for videos!  Just have FUN with it! Best of all the glazes are water based so they will not stain skin or clothing, and they are non-toxic and lead free!

Group Painting:
We can accommodate up to 40 painters inside the studio.
Each table seats 4-6 painters.
Booking a larger group? Call us at 401-247-1397 to set up a reservation.  We do occasionally book after hours events for groups of 10 or more.  Please also note that pottery can be ordered 'to go' for events.  Contact us for more information about setting up a paint night at your home or establishment.  We love working with the local college programs and neighboring businesses for team building activities or fundraisers.
