Tile Workshops To Go Handprints or Self Portraits!

Pick up tile and run a workshop at your school!
Return tiles to us and we will add child’s name/school/whatever you like, free custom lettering for schools. We can offer great projects for Valentine’s Day, mother’s day, father’s day, create a mural or tile border for your school. We offer this reduced rate for pick up/run your own workshop. If you would like us to come to your facility to run a program there is a $50 travel fee per teacher for a 1 hour workshop. Depending on distance the teacher/instructor fee would be a minimum of $100/1 hour travel to and from your facility and1 hour at your facility.
***Older students may choose to draw and paint a self portrait etc. on their tile! So many possibilities! Each tile can be it's own unique masterpiece!
*$50 travel fee per each additional hour per teacher. *$30 delivery fee if you have us deliver your finished tiles. You may pick up your finished tiles at our studio instead.

There is a $30 glaze (2 oz containers in a variety of 6 colors) and package (bubble wrap/bags) fee depending on the number of tiles and how many “colors to go” you require. ($30+ for over 100 tiles). We provide written instruction so that your workshop runs smoothly and your artistic tiles look beautiful! Feel free to call if you have any questions. We look forward to working with you!
Finished fired tiles can be mounted to plywood using liquid nails clear which is an indoor outdoor durable adhesive. Plywood can be pre cut to fit a specific area or you may choose to have groups of 12 or 16 mounted to a self framing plywood backing.
We can provide this service for $75 for 12 tiles and $90 for 16 tiles. We have the plywood cut, drill holes for hanging with our fun and funky wire (can be screwed onto wall directly if you desire). We prime and paint the front and sides of the plywood with acrylic indoor/outdoor black paint leaving an inch and a half around mounted tiles creating self framing border. PLEASE NOTE:
*If you do not buy tiles or glaze from us but are inquiring about using our kilns to fire your product the fee for firing is $4 per tile.
*Tiles must be delivered to the studio KILN READY, clean sides-free of glaze.
* We need products used so that we are sure to fire at the correct temp.
* DO NOT DIP TILES IN OVERGLAZE, we fire tiles on tile stackers and the bottoms and sides need to be free of glaze. It is very easy to brush on overglaze neatly so that you never need to sand the edges. If you purchase your tiles and glaze from us we do all the overglazing for you.
*Our glazes are the best of the best in the market today! Vibrant colors, high gloss and durable overglaze, no comparison! We love what we do.
*Write students names on front in glaze for easy identification. If names are written on the back of the tile use pencil which will burn off to a light brown color.
*Do not use tape as a way of marking or masking, you will need to remove that prior to dropping at our studio for firing. (Just more work for you) We cannot fire tape in the kilns. |
