The Art By You at Weirdgirl Creations Pottery Studio is the best place for kids this summer!
Children will work in clay with various hand-building techniques.
Children who have been to our camps previously will build upon these skills to make more advanced projects!
Paint on bisque, clay, and kids will get on the potters wheel!
We have years of experience teaching art and working with children!
Send your kids to a fun, 4-day workshop, which will leave you with plenty of time for
beach days and weekend trips. We are a project-based camp.
Each student will have 4 glazed and fired paint on pottery (bisque projects and 3 glazed and fired wet clay projects (2 hand building and one wheeled vessel).
Workshop Schedule:
Each session runs Monday – Thursday from 10-noon. Cost: $145.00 per session.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to register/bal due first day of class.
Ages: Workshops are for children ages 3 and up. We divide the children up into groups by age if needed. Children work at their ability level and we have 2-3 instructors to help!
Art Projects:
Children will paint a plate with splatter design-a tribute to Jackson Pollock,a mug, bowl and free choice pottery piece! They will work with clay every day completing 3 fired clay pieces ranging from sculptural to functional including one made on the potters wheel!
Drawing/Painting:
We offer an extended day program from 12-1 pm. Children can bring a lunch or light snack. We provide each student with a sketchbook and a variety of mediums will be explored. Students are encouraged to free draw as well as work on loosly based projects daily. We'll touch on fashion design, line drawings, cartooning, still life, shading, perpective, and landscapes inspired by Gustav Klimt, dreamscapes focusing on the work of Marc Chagall, and Egyptian self-portraits!
A variety of mediums will be explored.
COST:
$25 with early registration Monday-Thursday 12-1PM($40 per session if you sign up week of camp/or $10 per day)

GALLERY SHOW at STARBUCKS for the month of September to showcase tile murals created by campers for FAB! (for anything but...alcohol, drugs or tobacco). There will be 3 to 4 instructors working with children during workshops depending on class size.
Your child will leave our workshop with a feeling of accomplishment, and you will enjoy the functional art created by them for years to come.
Meg has taught privately as an artist in residence for 30 years! Kyla is a high school art teacher! Bianca is a freshman in college, art major. Meg, Kyla, and Bianca have all had background checks, and are certified in CPR and first aid. Please fill out and return with your deposit to register.
