Girl scout boy scout merit badge workshops

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts create from wet clay or paint on ceramics to earn your merit badge.
We meet all the requirements necessary and you have fun created your masterpiece!

For Groups of 10 or more pricing as follows:

Paint on ceramics:

1 hour of studio time

Paint a small figurine, mug, 6" cookie plate or 6" tile wall hanger with 1 bisquette

Cost: $10 per person

Wet Clay:

1 to 1 and 1/2 hour(s) of studio time (depending on project): All clay projects will be created
and underglazed on the same day. Each piece will be air dried, then fired, overglazed by us,
and fired again, ready for pick up within 3 weeks. All pieces created will be food and dishwasher safe.

$15 per person/ create a single pinch pot animal or crazy head ( see picture in classes section)

$18 per person/create a birds nest with 3 eggs and chick. Underglaze same day.

$20 per person/create a working volcano/ 3" x 4" made from blended coils on a slab base,
add lava, glaze in volcanic colors, once fired, add vinegar, baking soda and water
with food coloring and watch it errupt!

$20 per person/create an 8" plate with stamping and textured rim, once glazed and fired
your plate will be food safe! A Fun and Functional piece of art!

$20 per person/ inlay bowl with your choice of cookie cutter designs, coils,
and glaze the exterior to highlight the shapes. This bowl is food safe and functional once fired.
$25 per person/bird house/feeder. This vessel is created using a slab for the cylinder, cone roof,
cut out decorative windows, door, students may stamp with texture or design.
Hung by wire this bird feeder/house is ready for use.
$25 per person/wind chime. Create a top piece with a center chime and 3 outer chimes,
all created from clay, the design options are limited only by your imagination..
...all weather safe, ready to hang inside or out.

Potters Wheel:

$20 per person/ + $50 instructor fee. Each person gets to try their hand at the wheel.
This is a simple class for all age and ability. Our instructor will center the clay,
student will open the vessel and bring up the clay. Students will underglaze and decorate
their wet clay vessel the same day.
