FAB was  started in 2007 by a group of local high school students who were looking to do something positive after the tragic loss of fellow students due so underage drinking and substance use.  The teens were looking for a voice, not to say don’t drink and drive, not to say lets set up safe rides, but rather a voice to say it is not necessary to drink or use substances.

You will not become addicted to alcohol, drugs or cigarettes if you never try them.

It is entirely possible to go through life without using substances.

It is not “normal” to use substances.

The kids who drink, smoke and use drugs are not cool, they have just adopted that label and marketed themselves as such. 

Strong teens make good choices, they choose not to use.

It is far easier not to use substances.

Teens can have a full, rich social life without alcohol, drugs or tobacco.

FAB works to raise awareness and aid in prevention of underage substance use.  We run substance free events throughout the year, and events are open to all towns.

We run an annual 5v5 basketball tournament every April.  A portion of the profit from Summer Art Camp supports the Basketball tournament and ongoing tile mural projects which decorate public space while raising awareness and aiding in prevention of underage substance use.
