ART ENRICHMENT-Winter 2012 (Multi age meets on Fridays Pre-teen/Teen Saturdays in February 4 Weeks

Winter Session 2012
Fridays in January at our Studio from 4:00-5:00PM
Session #1
January 6, 13, 20 and 27 Full
Session #2 February 3, 10, 17 and March 9 (no class Feb. 24 vacation)
Session #3 March 9, 16, 23 and 30
Students will create one wet clay project the first class which will be fired and then glazed during the 3rd week of class. We will work on 1 paint your own pottery project designing a clock on a plate! And we will work on a drawing/painting or collage project.
*This session is multi age and open to ages 4-11
Cost: $85 for 4 weeks
All materials are lead free, food safe, non-toxic and water based for easy clean up. Will not stain skin, clothes or furniture.
Pre-teen/Teen workshops
Saturday from 11AM-Noon for ages 11 and up
Class meets 4 consecutive Saturdays in January
January 7, 14, 21 & 28 FULL
February 3, 10, 17 and 24 FULL
March 2, 9, 16 and 23
Week #1 Creating from wet clay larger project than the multi age class
Week #2 A paint your own pottery project with more focus on techniques
Week #3 Glaze the wet clay piece created week #1
Week #4 Watercolor, drawing or collage project.
Cost: $95.00
50% non refundable deposit is required to register. The balance is due first day of class.
***Sorry, no make-ups. If you miss a class for clay, we will make a model for you to glaze on a painting day. If you miss a glaze day, you may paint 2 projects the next week to catch up. If none of the above options work for you, you may come in during open studio hours within 1 week of the last day of enrichment session and pay $10 per hour to paint your pottery. Thank you for understanding as this enrichment program is offered at a reduced group rate, items must be fired together to maximize kiln use.
*This program can be brought to your school as after school art enrichment if you have a minimum of 10 participants and a max of 20. We do not charge an additional travel fee if you are within 5 mile of our studio.

*the wheel is not offered out of studio, we replace the wheel project with another hand building clay project when offered off site.
PAINT YOUR OWN POTTERY
AFTER SCHOOL ART ENRICHMENT!
4 weeks for $75.00
This workshop involves students painting a set of dinner ware, mug, bowl, 6 inch plate and 8 inch plate. All pieces will be food and dishwasher safe once fired. This is a wonderful program geered toward individuality and creativity. No rules other than learning the glaze application. Children LOVE this program because it allows them the freedom to design the dinnerware any way they like. Parents LOVE it because it provides a creative outlet for their child and produces a wonderful set of dishes to be used! FUN and FUNCTIONAL POTTERY!
We request a minimum of 10 students to run this program with a max of 20. We provide all materials and instruction.
No travel fee for teachers if you are within a 5 mile radius of our studio!
We do not offer classes in Nov. and Dec. due to the increased business at our studio during the holidays.
We can design a program to compliment your curriculum as well.
